Boards and Commissions
|
| The Fairbanks North Star Borough has a number of
boards and commissions that act to advise and direct various activities of our
local government. They are established by the
Fairbanks
North Star Borough Code of Ordinances, specifically the section on Boards
and Commissions. Once established, generally the Mayor
appoints and the Assembly confirms new members and
re-appointments.
We are always looking for citizens to participate
in these various boards and commissions as vacancies occur. It's a great way to
be involved in your community. Members of the boards and commissions must be
qualified voters of the borough and remain residents of the borough while in
office. Civic-minded individuals who wish to contribute some of their time in
support of local government are invited to apply.
