Established by ordinance under Chapter 2.65 to review and monitor the operation of the John A. Carlson Community Center and make recommendations to the mayor and the assembly concerning the mission and goals of the center and the various policies for implementation of these goals. The board shall also serve as a focal point for public comment and involvement concerning the operation of this publicly owned facility. It is supported administratively by the Parks and Recreation Department. This commission is up for reauthorization every six years, by ordinance. This commission was reauthorized in 2012. The Carlson Center Advisory Board meets the 2nd Tuesday of February, May, August, and November at 3:30 P.M. at the Carlson Center.
