The Mayor

The Borough Mayor is Chief Administrative Officer
of the Fairbanks North Star Borough, elected for
a three year term.  In addition to overseeing
borough administration, the Mayor is in charge
of the budget and capital improvements within
the FNSB. The Mayor makes montly and annual
budget reports to the Borough Assembly.

Boards and Commissions 

Members of the boards and commissions must be qualified voters of the borough and remain residents of the borough while in office. Civic-minded individuals who wish to contribute some of their time in support of local government are invited to apply. Interested persons can apply in the Borough Mayor's Office, 809 Pioneer Road. The Economic Development Division 

Creating and sustaining a fertile business environment through policy and planning. The FNSB Economic Development Division is the FNSB Alaska Regional Organization (ARDOR) for the borough. The division works with the Economic Development Commission to develop, maintain and in partnership with many local organizations, implement the FNSB Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The FNSB ARDOR is a VISTA umbrella for the borough and acts as the Census Liaison for the Decennial Census. For more information, please contact Kathryn Dodge at 459-1309.
