INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC.  Public testimony will be requested as each agenda item comes up.   The Platting Board's review is limited to the technical requirements of the state and borough subdivision ordinances, codes and statutes, health and safety issues, or hazards to property.  Please note:  testimony may be limited to three minutes per person.

 

Before testifying, please state your name, print it and your mailing address on the sheet at the microphone, and identify the agenda item about which you are speaking.  If you wish to ask questions of the Board or staff, secure approval from the Chairman to do so.

 

If you wish to speak regarding an item not on this agenda, you may do so during Citizens Comments (at the end of the agenda).

 

The meeting will recess approximately 6:15-7:00 p.m. and will adjourn by 9:00 p.m.

 

Any action taken during this meeting is subject to reconsideration during this meeting or at the next.  A request for reconsideration at the next meeting must be submitted in writing by a Platting Board member (who voted on the prevailing side) before the close of business the day following the meeting. 

 

Appeal of a Platting Board decision must be submitted in writing within seven days of the decision.  Appeal forms may be obtained from the Community Planning office.

SD 007-99 Happy Valley Estates – A request by RCH Surveys on behalf of M. T. Killion for a two-year extension of the Platting Board's July 29, 1998 preliminary approval to subdivide 160 acres into 36 lots of approximately 4 acres each within the NW¼, Sec 23, T1N R2W, FM AK (accessed by O'Brien St).


 

 

    

Modification of Phasing

    

1.

SD 035-99 / VA 011-99 Riverhaven Subdivision (phasing modification) A request by RCH Surveys on behalf of the University of Alaska Statewide Land Management to modify the phasing approved for the subdivision of approximately 200 acres (portions of TL 602 and 503, Sec 5 and 6, T1S R2E) into 58 lots in three phases to be completed by 2005, and to vacate the 100' section line easement common to Sec 5 and 6, T1S R2E, lying south of Andromeda Dr (ADL 63370), southerly to the section corner of Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, T1S R2E, FM AK (located off Nordale Rd and the confluence of the Little Chena and Chena River).

RP 009-01A request by RCH Surveys for Joseph and Janet Galath to replat Tract M, Endecott Homestead Subd, a parcel of approximately 5 acres, into two lots of approximately 1 acre and 4 acres within Sec 13, T1S R1E, FM AK (located off Badger Rd and Alder Street).

RP 006-01A request by RCH Surveys for Todd and Natalie Wentz to combine Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Roger A. and Carol D. Boyd Subd No 2 into one lot and to vacate the public utility easements along the common interior lot lines within Sec 8, T1S R1W, FM AK (located between Wolf Run, University Ave, and Indiana Ave).

RP 003-01 A request by T. Neil Davis and Rosemarie Davis to replat Tract C, Blk 4, Sunnyside Subdivision 3rd Addition, approximately 7 acres, into four lots of approximately 1.8 acres each within Sec 6, T1S R2W, FM AK (located between Sapphire and Azurite drives).

RP 010-01 A request by Karl and Phyllis Reid, et al, to vacate the 30' utility easement within the south boundary of Lots 1, 3, and 4, Blk 3, Rusty Acres Subd within the NW¼, Sec 18, T1S R2E, FM AK (located on Rust Ave and Persinger Dr).

SD 002-01 / RP 011-01 Otter Subdivision A request by Design Alaska to subdivide Lot 1, Blk 4, White Birch Subd, a 5-acre parcel, into four lots of 1.14 acres each and to dedicate a 30' road right-of-way for Snowshoe Ave within Sec 3, T2S R2E, FM AK (located on Snowshoe Ave).

SD 003-01 Dave's Not Here Subdivision A request by Dave Iles to subdivide a 23.2-acre parcel (Tax Lot 207) into two lots of 5.0 and 18.20 acres within the SE¼, Sec 2, T2S R2E, FM AK (located on Yellowstone and Redstone roads).

RP 007-01 / VA 002-01A request by Ethel-Faye Stoneman, et al, to vacate a 15'-wide access easement within the western boundary of Parcels A, B, and C, Stoneman Waiver; a 25'-wide access within the eastern boundary of Lots 12, 13, and 14, Benshoof Subd Ph 3; a 25'-wide access easement within the eastern boundary; to vacate a 40'-wide access easement within the southern boundary of Lot 4, Lyman Benshoof Property; and a 25'-wide portion of the 100'-wide public utility easement within the northern boundary of Lot 12, Blk 2, Benshoof Subd Ph 3.  Also included is a replat of three parcels into lots of 5.6 and 3.7 acres by removing the lot lines between Lot 4 and Tract A, Lyman Benshoof Property and Parcels B and C, Stoneman Waiver all within the NE¼, Sec 29, T1S R2E, FM AK (accessed by Old Badger Rd, Stoneman Ln, and Benshoof Dr).

RP 001-01 A request by John Johnston and Dana and Denien Nachtrieb to subdivide Parcel 3, Stoneman Subdivision, a lot of 5.76 acres, into two lots of approximately 1.8 and 3.4 acres within Gov't Lot 4, Sec 29, T1S R2E, FM AK (located on Stoneman Ln).

SD 001-01 / RP 002-01 Gold Dust Subdivision A request by David and Kelly Sinkey to replat Tracts C-1 and C-2, Ault Subd, into seven lots ranging from approximately 40,362 sq ft to 4.2 acres and to vacate the 30'-wide public utility easement along the north boundary of Tract C-2 within the NE¼, Sec 13, T1N R2W, FM AK (located on Ballaine Rd and Destination Ave).

RP 045-00 A request by Jeff Bovee to replat a portion of Lots 5 and 6, Blk E and a portion of Tract One, Snowball Subdivision into seven lots varying in size from approximately 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft all within the SE¼ NE¼, Sec 5, T1S R1W, FM AK (located on Luke St, Old Pioneer Way, and Totem Dr).   POSTPONED FROM THE JANUARY 26, 2000 PLATTING BOARD MEETING.
