APPROVAL OF AGENDA

 

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC.  Public testimony will be requested as each agenda item comes up.   The Platting Board's review is limited to the technical requirements of the state and borough subdivision ordinances, codes and statutes, health and safety issues, or hazards to property.  Please note:  testimony may be limited to three minutes per person.

 

Before testifying, please state your name, print it and your mailing address on the sheet at the microphone, and identify the agenda item about which you are speaking.  If you wish to ask questions of the Board or staff, secure approval from the Chairman to do so.

 

If you wish to speak regarding an item not on this agenda, you may do so during Citizens Comments (at the end of the agenda).

 

The meeting will recess approximately 6:15-7:00 p.m. and will adjourn by 9:00 p.m.

 

Any action taken during this meeting is subject to reconsideration during this meeting or at the next.  A request for reconsideration at the next meeting must be submitted in writing by a Platting Board member (who voted on the prevailing side) before the close of business the day following the meeting. 

 

Appeal of a Platting Board decision must be submitted in writing within seven days of the decision.  Appeal forms may be obtained from the Community Planning office.

 

When possible, on the day following the meeting, Platting Board decisions will be posted on the Internet in an Action Memo identified by the meeting date.  The FNSB home page address is http://www.co.fairbanks.ak.us/

Application for Extension of Time

    

1.

SD 018-99 Bleu Birch Subdivision – A request by RCH & Associates for a two-year extension of the preliminary approval given Markgraf Trust to subdivide approximately 26 acres into ten lots in two phases, lots varying in size from 2 to 3 acres within Sec 21, T5S R4E, FM AK (located off the Richardson Hwy).  PRELIMINARY APPROVAL GIVEN SEPTEMBER 23, 1998.

1.

RP 012-01 A request by Kalen & Associates for Tarika Lea and Tracy Freel to replat Lots 13 and 14, Blk 14, Cripple Creek II Subdivision 1st Addition, totaling 4.61 acres, by adding 9,452 sq ft from Lot 14 to Lot 13 within Sec 25, T1S R3W, FM AK (located on Fiddle Way).

 

 

2.

SD 045-00 Tranquility Woods Subdivision A request by Fred and Colleen Kuykendall on behalf of William and Linda Mae Thompson to subdivide a 10-acre parcel into four lots ranging in size from 1 to 5 acres within the N½ N½ NW¼ SE¼, Sec 13, T2S R2E, FM AK (located on Nelson Rd).  POSTPONED FROM THE JUNE 28, 2000 PLATTING BOARD MEETING.

 

 

3.

VA 003-01A request by Jay Noll for himself and the JC Company, LLC, to vacate and relocate a 10'-wide pedestrian easement currently centered on the lot line common to Lot 5, Blk 17 and Lot 24, Blk 18, Graehl Townsite within the NW¼, Sec 11, T1S R1W, FM AK (located between Second and Third streets in Graehl).

 

 

4.

SD 004-01 Phipps Square Subd A request by Loren Hite and Jack Phipps to subdivide four parcels within the SE¼ of Sec 17, T1S R1W, FM AK (TL 1704, 1719, 1752, and 1755) into eight lots ranging in size from approximately 2.0 acres to 7.9 acres (accessed by Peger Rd and Davis Rd).

 

 

5.

RP 013-01 / VA 004-01A request by Doyle Family Limited Partnership to vacate the 20' alley within Blk 21 of the Second Addition to Southern Portion of Leasure Subd within the NW¼, Sec 23, T1S R1W, FM AK (bounded by Leasure St, Braddock St, 34th Ave, and 35th Ave).

 

 

6.

RP 003-01 A request by T. Neil Davis and Rosemarie Davis to replat Tract C, Blk 4, Sunnyside Subdivision 3rd Addition, approximately 7 acres, into four lots of approximately 1.8 acres each within Sec 6, T1S R2W, FM AK (located between Sapphire and Azurite drives).  POSTPONED FROM THE JULY 26, 2000 PLATTING BOARD MEETING.

RP 045-00 A request by Jeff Bovee to replat a portion of Lots 5 and 6, Blk E and a portion of Tract One, Snowball Subdivision into seven lots varying in size from approximately 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft all within the SE¼ NE¼, Sec 5, T1S R1W, FM AK (located on Luke St, Old Pioneer Way, and Totem Dr).   POSTPONED FROM THE JULY 26, 2000 PLATTING BOARD MEETING.
