APPROVAL OF AGENDA

 

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC.  Public testimony will be requested as each agenda item comes up.   The Platting Board's review is limited to the technical requirements of the state and borough subdivision ordinances, codes and statutes, health and safety issues, or hazards to property.  Please note:  testimony may be limited to three minutes per person.

 

Before testifying, please state your name, print it and your mailing address on the sheet at the microphone, and identify the agenda item about which you are speaking.  If you wish to ask questions of the Board or staff, secure approval from the Chairman to do so.

 

If you wish to speak regarding an item not on this agenda, you may do so during Citizens Comments (at the end of the agenda).

 

The meeting will recess approximately 6:15-7:00 p.m. and will adjourn by 9:00 p.m.

 

Any action taken during this meeting is subject to reconsideration during this meeting or at the next.  A request for reconsideration at the next meeting must be submitted in writing by a Platting Board member (who voted on the prevailing side) before the close of business the day following the meeting. 

 

Appeal of a Platting Board decision must be submitted in writing within seven days of the decision.  Appeal forms may be obtained from the Community Planning office.

 

When possible, on the day following the meeting, Platting Board decisions will be posted on the Internet in an Action Memo identified by the meeting date.  The FNSB home page address is http://www.co.fairbanks.ak.us/

Application for Extension of Time

     

1.

SD 013-99 Hawkins & Powers Subdivision A request by RCH Surveys on behalf of Hawkins & Powers Aviation, Inc., for a two-year extension of the Platting Board's August 26, 1998 preliminary approval to create nine lots from a 14-acre parcel within the NW¼ SW¼, Sec 6, T2S R2E, FM AK (accessed by Edward Dr, Jared Dr, Bunge St, and James St).  PRELIMINARY APPROVAL GIVEN AUGUST 26, 1998.

1.

SD 007-01 Avalon Subdivision A request by RCH Surveys for Ken Vorisek to subdivide a portion of the placer mining claim known as Dark Horse (Tax Lot 910) into six lots of approximately 40,000 sq ft each within the NE¼, Sec 9, T1S R2W, FM AK (located on Goldhill Rd).

 

 

2.

RP 014-01 A request by Jim Gower for Robert and Helen Kimball and Blanche Brunk to replat Lots 15, 16, and 17, Blk 11, Hamilton Acres Subd NW Portion, creating two lots of approximately 12,000 sq ft and 15,000 sq ft within the NE¼, Sec 11, T1S R1W, FM AK (located on Dunbar Ave).

RP 070-00 (modification) – A request by the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ on behalf of Richard and Tanya Smith for modification of the Board's June 28, 2000 preliminary approval to resubdivide Tract K and Lot 18, Blk 6, Mission Homestead Subdivision by including vacation of a 15' public utility easement between Tract K and Lot 18 within Sec 10, T2S R2E, FM AK (located on Mission Rd).

SD 008-01 / RP 017-01 / VA 005-01 Placer Subdivision 1st AdditionA request by Marvin Brown to subdivide three parcels into three lots of 2.905 acres, 7.492 acres, and 8.365 acres; to vacate 1.084 acres of the 100' road easement for Conveyor St; to dedicate 36,242 sq ft for a new 60'-wide right-of-way for Conveyor St; and to dedicate 28,531 sq ft for 50' of right-of-way for the Old Steese Hwy all within Lot 2, Placer Subdivision and Tax Lots 607 and 621 within USMS 1788, Trinity Association Placer, Sec 1, T1N R1W; Sec 6, T1N R1E; and Sec 31, T2N R1E, FM AK (located on the Old Steese Hwy N and Conveyor St).

 

 

5.

RP 015-01A request by Metro Company to replat Lot 2-B, Blk 4, 4th Addition to Rees Subd, a parcel of 4.523 acres, into two lots of 1.06 acres and 3.46 acres within the SE¼ NE¼, Sec 22, T1S R1W, FM AK (located on South Cushman).

 

 

6.

RP 018-01 A request by Stutzmann Engineering Assoc, for Don and Susan Seeliger, Trustees of the Seeliger Family Trust, to replat Lots 17-A and 18-A, Blk 4, Westgate Subd by moving the common lot line approximately 10' south, creating two lots of approximately 13,668 sq ft and 14,922 sq ft within Sec 8, T1S R1W, FM AK (located on Riverview Dr).

 

 

7.

SD 005-01 Old Sourdough Homestead Subdivision – A request by Marjorie Murphy and Richard and Kathleen Blades to subdivision Tax Lots 2703, 2706, 1708, and 2715, approximately 90 acres, into seven lots varying in size from approximately 7.5 to 16 acres within the SE¼, Sec 27, T2S R5W, FM AK (located off the Parks Hwy about Mile 329.3).
