Primary pollutant for the current AQI is PM-2.5 Particulate

Air Quality Forecast:

   Local air quality in the springtime and summer is generally excellent or good.  So we are forecasting the Air Quality Index to remain “Good”.  With the coming of summer, the occasional forest fire does cause moderate to high concentrations of particulates.  Should these or any other air quality conditions arise, this forecast will be updated.
   Note that Air Quality readings are from monitoring stations in Fairbanks and North Pole, and may not be representative in your area.  If you are sensitive to respiratory problems and experience any effects, please follow the instructions of your physician.
   The next update to this forecast will be at 4:30pm Tuesday May 29, unless conditions change significantly before then.
