Unless specifically identified otherwise, all Borough land is open for use by the public!
Examples of Casual Use Include
- Backpacking

- Camping for Less Than 14 Days
- Cross Country Skiing
- Fishing
- Hiking
- Hunting
- Picnicking
- Snow Machining
- And Berry Picking, Among Others
Conditions & Requirements
Use is non-exclusive and involves only minimal disturbance to the land. Necessary brushing of survey lines or trails may not disturb roots. Livestock drives and use of all terrain vehicles off an established road or right-of-way are permissible only on existing trails. Verify trail restrictions before motorized use.
Trespassing
Use of Borough land without a license beyond that which is described above. Trespassers may be required to pay all costs incurred by the Borough as a result of the trespass (FNSBC 20.16.060).
